The Workshop on Future
Directions of Evolutionary Computation started
in 2002 involving primarily panelists from the academia who are interested
in furthering the development of the EC filed at research and teaching
levels. The 2003 FDEC workshop defined problems and potential solutions
for each of the three topics within four themes. This year two members of
the industries have been invited to participate as panelists of the 2004
FDEC workshop. These include Paul Tabor and Arthur Kordon from Test
Advantage Ltd and Dow Chemical Company, respectively.
